27/10/2022- Driving a snow plough
Let’s start with the fact that to drive a snow plough, a standard driving licence is not enough, you need to get a licence. According to the highway code, a licence is a document that entitles you to drive a specific vehicle. We should not therefore confuse a licence with a driving licence, also because salt spreaders and snow ploughs are classified as operating machines. This is precisely why courses are held to provide all the knowledge required for safe driving.
- Snow blades for all needs and machines
A variety of snow blades, with different price ranges and various uses, are available on the market. What makes the price vary the most is definitely the size of the blade. When choosing the most suitable snow blade for your vehicle, you need to consider the size of the blade, which must be appropriate for the size of the machine to which it will be attached and for the work it will do once in operation. The power of the vehicle also affects how high the blade should be. The higher the blade, the more snow it will be able to collect.
There are three types of snow blades, which are subdivided according to their different sizes. Smaller blades are best suited to clearing confined spaces, where manoeuvring is more difficult. Medium-sized blades, instead, are usually attached to a small/medium-sized off-road vehicle or tractor. They are useful for cleaning larger yards with little room to manoeuvre.
Larger blades are ideal for attaching to high-powered tractors and trucks. They are excellent for clearing squares or wide roads.
- Other useful accessories for snow
In addition to a snow plough, to deal with a snowfall in the best possible way, you need to get equipped with many other machines, such as a salt spreader or a snow blower. In any case, all accessories are excellent in helping to avoid all the inconveniences that snow brings with it.
