- Choosing your artificial grass: Make sure that you choose a type of artificial grass that is suitable for a dry garden. Opt for artificial grasses that are specifically designed to withstand hot, dry weather conditions, require little maintenance, and have good longevity.
- Prepare the soil: Prepare the ground properly before laying artificial grass. Remove weeds, rocks and debris, then level the ground. Make sure the soil has good drainage to avoid waterlogging, which can damage the grass.
- Laying your artificial grass: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for laying your artificial grass. Usually, a layer of sand or gravel must be laid and compacted to ensure a stable base. The artificial grass is then laid on top.
- Maintenance: Synthetic grass requires less maintenance than natural grass, but still requires some attention. Regularly remove leaves and debris, and hose it down to remove dust and dirt. If your artificial grass gets hot in the sun, you can cool it down with water.

- Conserving water: The use of artificial grass in a dry garden is a sustainable choice that significantly reduces the use of water. Reducing or eliminating irrigation promotes water conservation, and can reduce related costs.
Keep in mind that artificial grass can get hot under the sun, so you may need to take precautions to avoid burns. Although artificial grass requires less maintenance, it may require periodic cleaning and maintenance to preserve its condition over time.
